The Beacon Run - What is it?

The Allman Brothers Band's annual residency at New York City's Beacon Theatre has become a rite of passage for fans since 1989. This year, rock's greatest touring act celebrated its 40th Anniversary with a nightly tribute to founding member, Duane Allman, and an impressive list of legendary musical guests. Eric Clapton, members of the Grateful Dead, members of Phish, Kid Rock, Sheryl Crow, Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, Buddy Guy and many, many others jammed with The Allman Brothers Band during the Beacon Run.

Every night at the Beacon was a unique experience for the band and the audience. Set lists changed dramatically from night to night, as did the list of musical luminaries who jammed with the ABB. A complete list of sets and guest artists can be seen within the Moogis Forums.

Another momentous occasion took place when Allman Brothers Band founding member and drummer, Butch Trucks, introduced the live concert streaming site, Moogis, to coincide with the band's March 2009 Beacon Theatre run.

With the Beacon dates now a part of musical history, Moogis ensures that you won't have to miss a single mind-blowing solo of the onstage action. Moogis subscribers have a virtual front-row seat for all the dancing in the aisles, radiant light displays, and organic, explosive musical interplay at this landmark musical event that can be relived again and again.

Either through a full Moogis subscription ($125) or by taking part in Moogis Mondays ($15 per show), you can experience everything that made the 2009 Allman Brothers Band a magical experience. And one huge advantage of Moogis that never stops is the ability to interact with other fans through the chat rooms and forums that are so much a part of the Moogis experience.

The Allman Brothers Band's shows at the Beacon in 2009 made rock music history. It won't be long before Moogis becomes synonymous with the Internet's best source for live performances.
